Now, I’m a very patient person. I don’t usually display aggression or displeasure, but there are some things that annoy me. And seeing as Helen made a post and the Grumpy Old Bastards do so on a daily basis, I thought I’d list a few things that annoy me.
- Shopping, but not shopping as such – more shopping when there are other people around. Typically in Marks & Spencer (I go through M&S, Newcastle, in order to get to Northumberland Street) and they are full of people that have little knowledge of the outside world beyond the initial three inches beyond their bodies. Through this lack of awareness, they often walk slowly, stop right in front of you, or form chains with other shoppers, thus blocking any exit.
- Women clothes shopping is unusual. I have studied this phenomenon over many years. Why is it that women look at items they do not like, and feel an urge to touch every garment? Is it just me that has noticed that?

women really do touch every garment within reach. they have to touch them to reassure themseleves that the material is nasty, thus reenforcing and justifying the reason to purchase more expensive garments with husbands wages.i have spent many a saturday morning walking through chesterfield market, fantasising about blasting the slow (3 steps per minute or less) walking people out of the way with a bazooka. these people can be any age though often fall into the categories: teenagers, middle-aged women and chavs.fortunately i’m quite a rational person, and besides that, I don’t have a bazooka, so instead of violence i have learnt to avoid the market area on saturdays.you are absolutely right on both points. well done and welcome to the world of grumpiness and displeasure…fantasised violence is only a short step away (though you must remember to never actually make it real) and is a great stress buster, as well as being perfectly normal.
Also they can never find their money or their credit card when they get to the checkout.
That really pisses me off.

I am a female, (yes I am) and hate shopping, I hate it so much I did all last years xmas shopping on line. If I have to go to the shops, It’s first thing in the mornings when I am on holidays and When I am working, I race around the isles at break neck speed, cornering on two wheels, just to get it done. As for clothes shopping, if the first thing I pick up doesn’t fit, I go home without anything. One shop is my limit!

Women who look at and touch everything they know they’re not going to buy is precisely why I have to shop alone. I can’t stand that! I’m with Dave on the not being able to find their money or credit card, although in my experience this is more likely with little old ladies. I try never to get behind one in a checkout line. Also, my advice to you if you’re shopping at someplace like Walmart, never get in line behind a woman buying baby clothes. Invariably there will be an interminable price check. More advice: shop online whenever possible!
